Retail establishment means any commercial establishment that sells perishable or nonperishable goods including, but not limited to, clothing, food, and personal items directly to the customer; and is located within or doing business within the geographical limits of the City of San Mateo. Retail establishment does not include public eating establishments or nonprofit charitable reusers.
10/29/2012 – San Manteo County is holding their first reading of their ordinance today. When approved it will be effective 4/23/2013. It could be voted on as early as Nov 6, 2012. 9/13/2012 – The county certified the Environmental impact report. It can be used for both the unincorporated and corporate cities and also some other cities in the neighboring Santa Clara County. First reading of the ordinance is scheduled for 10/23/2012 and the Second reading is scheduled for the following week. 8/15/2012 They currently had the comment period on the EIR.
