Made of cloth or other machine washable fabric that has handles, or a durable plastic bag that is at least 2.25 mil thick with handles and is specifically designed and manufactured for multiply use.
Retail establishment means any commercial establishment that sells perishable or nonperishable goods including, but not limited to, clothing, food, and personal items directly to the customer; and is located within or doing business within the geographical limits of the city of Foster City. Retail establishment does not include public eating establishments or nonprofit charity rousers.
11/06/2012: SEE SAN MATEO COUNTY passed their ordinance on 11/6/2012 and this city can use it to move forward on their own ordinance. 3/11/2012- Currently working on their EIR. This is for the county but others cities are join in (these are listed as pending: Belmont, East Pala Alto, Foster, Pacific Grove, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Woodside).
